About this event
Nihon Kobudo refers to the classical arts of the samurai era, pre-1868. Whereas Okinawan Kobudo, also known as Ryukyu Kobujutsu, refers to weapon arts that developed alongside karate in the ancient Ryukyu Island Kingdom, of which the largest Island is Okinawa.
In this course we will cover the following basic weapons:
Nunchaku (Everyone)
Han-bo & Rokushaku Bo (Seniors only)
Juniors will learn how to learn the nunchaku during the first 90 minutes, while adults will participate for the full three hours to practice nunchaku & kenjutsu.
There are limited spare weapons, which will be prioritised for the newest members, and then on a first-come, first-served basis (must RSVP early). If you have your own weapons, please bring them along.
